The new CyberWatch website allows certain groups of registered users to create and submit content directly to the website. An author is a registered user who has been promoted to Author level by the Webmaster. Author status is open to the following groups of registered users:
- CyberWatch Leadership Team members
- Principle Representatives for CyberWatch Members (higher ed institutions)
- Principle Representatives for CyberWatch Partners (all other organizations)
- Members of the CyberWatch Advisory Board
- Other users approved by a site administrator
Procedure for becoming an Author:
- Register yourself as a user at the CyberWatch website. Please use your real first name and last name, since the author’s name will appear on any announcement, news article, or event that you submit. “Poohbear” and “Santa Claus” may work as names for purposes of registering as a user, but only real names will be approved by the Webmaster for promotion to Author status. Your username, however, can be any combination of characters (without spaces) not already registered to someone else.
- Send an email to the Webmaster, Teri Kepner, requesting promotion to Author status. Include both your username and your real name in your email, and indicate which of the above groups and which specific organization you represent. Do not include your password.
- Teri will find your name in the list of registered users, promote you to Author status, and send an email reply advising you that this has been done.
